About Me

I am a pelvic health physiotherapist and women's intimacy coach. For over 30 years I have been working with my clients to help them enjoy their life and relationships.

And like most of you, I wear many hats. I am also:

  • A wife
  • A mom
  • A daughter
  • A sister
  • A colleague
  • A friend

I have realized I can't be all those things in a way that is meaningful to me without my health.

It started almost 10 years ago, before I turned 45. I felt things starting to change and I knew I wasn’t as healthy as I could be.  Like many of my friends, I was too tired, despite going to bed at a good time.  I saw the pounds creeping up, and I felt stiff and sore most mornings.  I felt like I was always busy: with work and family and community activities.  All good things, but not enough time for myself.  I knew I wasn’t healthy but I had no time or energy to change it, and when I tried things that worked in my 20s, I felt more tired, more sore.  It was a double edged sword.

I knew I needed to make changes, but I wasn't sure how. There is so much compelling health advice out there. I needed to become a student of my own health and really evaluate what worked for me, my body and my lifestyle. I wanted to include multiple areas: heart health, brain health, bone health, and pelvic health.

I decided to make a shift in my mindset and acknowledge that this is a unique time in life.  I decided to pursue health, in all senses of the word: physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental. Now at 53, I have learned what works for me, how to prioritize myself and my health.

It has not been a straight road, but rather, a winding path full of twists and turns.  I am still on this journey, and I believe there is no final destination.  I don’t think we are every truly “there” but rather we pursue health throughout the stages of life in front of us.

How I can help

Time and time again women tell me they want to be healthier:   more energy, more active, more passion and pleasure in intimacy and to feel fully engaged in life. But how do you achieve that?   Through a total lifestyle approach that includes optimizing your pelvic health alongside enjoyable exercise, good nutrition and self-care such as sleep, mindfulness and other restorative habits.

Never has there been more health information available to us, just a click away.  But knowing the right changes to implement for your unique body and lifestyle requires guidance.

Women’s health needs are unique, from puberty through menopause and beyond. Our bodies are constantly changing and pursing good health through each stage can seem daunting.  In order to achieve wellness, we need to zoom out and see the whole person.

Working together, you can achieve your best health.
